In training and quarterly Safety Meetings, we review with our drivers that if they are involved in an accident or incident, they are required to call their Terminal Dispatcher and/or Safety.   When a call is received, we use a Report of Incident form to record the basic information.  If the incident is of major consequence and involves Hazardous Materials, we record all information on an Emergency Response Checklist.

We have a contract with OHM Environmental Emergency Response Service and a 24-hour number to call should the incident require their services.

All of our power units have a copy of our Emergency Contingency Plan in the pouch located on the driver's door.  In addition, each driver is issued a wallet-size card that contains emergency numbers of specific company management personnel, including terminal telephone numbers.  Drivers are also furnished accident kits that they carry in their trucks.
