Vehicle Maintenance
Our company has shop facilities in most of the locations that we operate from, with our major facilities in Demopolis and Creola, Alabama.  Our maintenance program on tractors is focused on prevention, resulting in few major overhauls that are not covered under warranty.

Preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors are scheduled by mileage.  Based upon miles, tractors receive either a class A or class B service.  The first periodic inspection is at 7,000 miles, at which time tractors receive a B service.  A full service of tractors, the A service, is performed at the 14,000 mile interval.  Thereafter, we alternate the A and B service at each 7,000 mile interval until the tractor is traded, which occurs in about four (4) years.  Our service form is broken into twelve (12) sections and lists all items to be inspected and repaired.

In addition to the above, air filters are changed every six (6) months regardless of miles. We replace water pumps and check and replace all belts at 150,000 miles.

We make annual inspections on all tractors.

Our trailer preventative maintenance is set up on a 60-day interval, and we use an inspection form divided into eleven (11) sections that list all items to be inspected and repaired.   All repairs to trailers are done in-house except barrel damage to tanks and major roof damage to vans.

Annual and HM 183 inspections on tanks are performed as required by law.  In addition to the 60-day inspections, the sub-frame and wheels are painted as warranted.  All shops are certified to perform HM 183 inspections, and all mechanics are certified to perform annual brake inspections.
